Wow just wow. I adore Ellen Hopkins and her writing style. She does not disappoint!!! I will admit I got Smoke as an ARC and not having read Burned, I was unsure of reading this one. As always Ellen has written a completely amazing book one in which I was able to read without knowing the back story, because she gives you all the info you need to follow Pattyn and Jackie along this Journey. I really want to read Burned to discover so much more about Ethan! Most of all this book covers a very important topic and gives hope and courage to those who might be in that same place. Smoke has well earned 5 stars.
